Swallow eval: I would strongly recommend seeing your doctor and talking with him/her about getting an esophogram.  This will look at how well food is moving down your throat and if there are any pockets or things blocking the esophagus.  If the esophogram is normal, but you're still having that feeling, then a consultation with a gastroenterologist is warranted.

when someone is choking, is it safe to hit them on their back?  i was taught never do that because it can further lodge the item.  what to do?

If a person is able : To cough, one should not interfere.  However, if a person has no ability to move air in or out or to cough then intervention may be life saving. Your choice: If you have such fears, Kruger is not the place for you.  However mosquito bites can be minimized by using repellants, mosquito net, and ceiling fan.

Hello, : Hello, that is hard to answer without taking x-rays. If the bullet is lodged inside the bone, it's unlikely that he will have any problem.  He needs to be evaluated by the army doctors (what will be one of the steps in the process of joining the army) to make the final determination if he will be able to join. Good luck!

More oxygen at apex: There is more ventilation and less blood flow at the apex of the lung.  Since tuberculosis is a strict aerobe it grows better in the better oxygenated upper lobe where less of the oxygen is carried away be the blood.  The lower lobes of the lung have more blood flow and less ventilation so there is less oxygen to feed the TB because the blood carries more of the oxygen into the body.

Interesting: By using the word packing, it sounds like you had a procedure.  If you did, call the surgeon.  If  it is not put there my a professional, have a dentist check it.
