Yes: If you mean elevation of serum protein with a small "monoclonal" elevation of kappa igm, this likely is monoclonal gammopathy  of uncertain significance (mgus). Most cases never become clinically significant, but follow-up is needed to make sure it doesn't develop into multiple myeloma.

i had a blood test done, what does it mean? kappa monoclonal gammopathy. is this rare? does this mean cancer? is this anything to worry about?

If : If you don't already have an appointment with the doctor who ordered these blood tests you should make one to go over the results.

Hopefully you have what is called monoclonal gammopathy of unknown significance (mgus).  This is a fairly common precancerous condition.  It has a low risk of about 1% per year of turning into a cancerous condition called multiple myeloma or a related plasma cell tumor.  Additional tests might be needed to determine if this is the condition you have or if the disease is more advanced.

hi doctor, i did a blood test of free light chains.  free kappa is 20.9, lambda is 9.4 and kappa/lambda ratio is 2.22, is this something to worry?

Lessons of Labs: Serological analysis of the blood for light chains is typically done to screen for certain types of neoplastic conditions.  The results should be discussed with the physician ordering the test so that it can be determined why the test was done in the first place and what suspicions the physician had that prompted the order.  If you still don't understand, ask to see a specialist.

been diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy   blood test showed high immunoglobulin m w/polyclonal gammopathy. kappa/lambda increase. possible meaning?

PlasmaCellDIsorder: May have plasma cell disorder/multiple myeloma.  Plasma cells are a type of white blood cells that produces immunoglobulin(antibodies).  Multiple myeloma is a cancerous or excessive proliferation of these plasma cells which may lead to excessive high levels of calcium/bone pain/renal failure/anemia (low blood counts).  Need to see hematologist (blood doctor specialist).

blood test shows i have a tiny igm kappa monoclonal protein migrating in beta-2, i found ulcer on left breast this am, is this related?

Ask your doctor: I am an obgyn so I am honestly not too familiar with the reason why they were looking for this protein. I don't think it is related. Are you being treated for breastcancer? There are many reasons why protein can be elevated or why your doc may be looking. Calling to find out what the meaning is is the best advise. The ulcer/lesion on your breast may be and probably is not related at all!

have cold feet and legs since december.  had emg, many blood tests and just received a 1.68 ratio, kappa 22.4 and lambda 13.3.  immunofixation blood test negative.  cbc, urine all good including sedimentary, protein.  can i still have mm or mgus?

Very unlikely: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, the only examination that may be useful is urine protein immunofixation. The data you provided does not suggest MM or MGUS.

Basic kidney fncns: It is the same as a basic metabolic profile (bmp). It includes serum levels of sodium, potassium, chloride, bicarbonate, (sodium bicarbonate) blood urea nitrogen (bun), creatinine, and glucose.  It gives a basic picture of your metabolic and renal health.

Yes: But you must accept the responsibility that if something is not able to be diagnosed or missed by not getting the test the consequences are your  responsibility.. Also when you are on some medications you need to have blood work to asses treatment  and may hinder your treatment.
