Diagnosis: You need to have the rash looked at so a diagnosis can be made.Then you know what medicine to use to heal ( eradicate ) the rash.

Strep Rash: yes, if they had a generalized Strep infection but that would be rare.  It is much more likely to get lesions there from STDs.  However, that being said go to the doctor.  If the doctor diagnosed the rash and lesions as a certain infection then one has to believe it especially since we aren't there and don't have the clinical information or tests.

Safe: But I'm not sure how effective it would be.  They make products just for the problems your having, though.  Check out any local running/fitness store, and you'll see them.  Good luck!

performed oral sex msm (man 2 months prior was negative) i decided to test out of caution about 3 weeks after. i came back negative. its been a year and did not get any symptoms, sores or rashes after the test. do i test again? anxiety is bad?

: You don't mention whether you had any symptoms or what test or tests you had done. For peace of mind, I recommend going to a men's sexual health clinic for evaluation and advice. Any appropriate testing will be ordered.

Lots of things: Interesting way to pose the question!  unless it has been there for years, this could be an infection or could even indicate something like diabetes.  Needs an examination to find out.  Keep it dry, wear loose shorts, could try otc "jock itch" preparations.

Allergic  Reaction: You have an allergic reaction to the dye called a contact dermatitis. See your doctor for oral Prednisone and topical cortisone which are prescription. If the skin looks infected you will also need oral antibiotics.

HIV: Your question is very unclear. Acute HIV syndrome has numerous manifestations and can have varying durations of presence.  If you think you have been exposed go and be tested asap. The sooner you are diagnosed and treated if necessary the better. Good luck.

Tinea cruris?: If it's common jock itch without the satellite lesions that suggest candida, tolnaftate is his best Rx.

: It's difficult to assess your rash w/o any description. However, should this skin problem occur sporadically and resolve by itself after a week or so and you can tell exactly when it's going to occur by certain tingling or itching prior to the rash, it might be herpes simplex. See your dermatologist when the rash is present and get evaluated by phys exam and lab tests and given treatment
