Amount?: The proof that it is red wine that causes your symptoms does not come by stopping it and observing that the symptoms are gone. (they would likely resolve anyway).  It is stronger evidence if you restart red wine and see immediate return.  The amount that you are drinking may also be a factor.

over 6 months i have a low grade fever. some symptoms of shaky and muscle/joint pain also chronic. was drinking alot of wine cut back. what could be?

FUO: This fever of unknown origin deserves an evaluation by a specialist in infectious diseases who will order appropriate tests in order to make a diagnosis. Liver enzymes should be checked in view of your heavy wine intake history. A viral hepatitis panel will also be checked.

Interesting: Other than an unusual cold induced reflex some people with fibromyalgia can experience musculoskeletal pain after eating certain foods or food of a certain temperature. Consult a rheumatologist if it continues.

No: Alcohol excess increases the risk of gout but otherwise it will not cause joint pain.

No: Finger pain while drinking?  Unlikely to be related unless you are very cold sensitive; and that might be an issue with circulation...  Hopefully, you are not smoking because that could be the cause of poor circulation.

Corn Sugar Pain: Soft drinks (not tea) is comprised of corn surgar (the replaced the natural surgar many years ago).  The body does not digest this corn sugar and it can cause a multiple of bodily dysfunctions.  I know of a friend that was told he had 3 months to live due to his medical problems.  He totally got off of soft drinks and his body regained normal health over months. That was 7 years ago and he lives.

Not entirely: Alcohol packs in massive quantities of "empty" calories, which tends to suppress "normal" appetite, so its absence can result in wt loss. The joint/back pains, not so much. Sounds like you should be seen by your dr for thorough once over.

Check for gout: Your symptoms are of arthritic pain. Gouty arthritis is one condition that can be triggered by drinking. See your pcp.

Rheumatologist: I would see a rheumatologist, to rule out things like gout and other forms of inflammatory arthritis.
