No it is not a good : Not a good idea as artificial heart is only temporary till a heart for transplantation is available and it is only used as a temporary heart and you can not jogg and exercise with it.

Artificial heart: Most artificial heart power supplies wouldn't allow jogging but might allow stationary bicycle use.

Artificial heart: Until recently there wasn't a small enough portable power system for an artificial heart to allow activity such as jogging. Stationary bicycle riding is possible. There may be jogging possible with artificial hearts in the future but I don't believe the present clinical equipment state along with the medication state allows it.

Artificial heart: An artificial heart doesn't isn't supplied by arteries so a classic heart attack isn't a problem. Artificial hearts come with their own unique problems which are not 'heart attacks' but can be quite bad problems in their own right.

Artificial Heart: You can't buy it on your own. You have get it through a medicval provider (if you qualify).

No certain answer: There is no real answer to this question since there are a number of different artificial hearts implanted for different reasons, some  just assist the damaged heart and some replace its actions all together. Usually the artificial heart is a bridge to transplant with a real donor heart. The longest survival without a replacement human heart transplant is a little over 1500 days at present.

Many years: That's a very complicated question.  Co morbidities would play into the calculation.  With good follow up care, you could live for many  years

Artificial hearts or vads (ventricular assist devices) have changed the way we approach heart failure and have the potential for huge impacts in the future including costs.  The heart lung machine which is temporary support has had a tremendous impact on the treatment of heart disease since the 1950's which it was developed.
