Mirena (levonorgestrel): Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud doesnot cause damage.  It works by irritating the endometrial linning to avoid implantation andalso atrophy from the meds so again avoiding implantation of a pregnancy.

Unsure: This format does not allow for proper evaluation.  However miscarriage usually involves the passage of tissue and blood.  Any concerns, see a gynecologist for an exam.

Age: As women get older the probabilities of successful pregnancy diminish.  See your gyn immediately and have an amh level done as well as fsh/e2 on day 3.  These blood tests will help your doctor determine your odds of successful pregnancy outcomes.  Don't delay.

Not at all: If you think you might be pregnant check then check a home pregnancy test. They are cheap, reliable and available  at any pharmacy. Irregular bleeding with an IUD is common and certainly does not mean that someone is pregnant or having a miscarriage. Consider chlamydia testing if you are with a  new partner and the spotting is a new problem.

Removal Recommended: The biggest risk is miscarriage on removal and sepsis & late miscarriage if left in-situ. This actually happens more than you think. The recommendation is to first document a viable pregnancy, remove it asap if easy to reach, & leave it if strings or device are not visible. If it has to stay, most proceed to term & "no" your baby will not have an iud stuck to its head. Best of luck to you.

Not sure.: If you had an iud that contained Progesterone then spotting could be happening because your uterus is trying to get back to normal.  It may also be a sign of lower Progesterone level and not a miscarriage.
