See Hand Specialist: Impossible to tell with limited history but first thing that comes to mind is infectious process from either a bite (insects) or cut.  The timing matters, is this a chronic problem or did it happen recently?   Painful lesions on the hand usually indicate a herpetic (viral) whitlow.  So to really tell you how to fix it, you need to have an expert get a good history and physical exam.

i have swollen itchy fingers painful on my right hand. it started a few weeks back with 1 finger which i thought was maybe a spider bite. after a few days it went away. then came back 2 weeks ago on 2 fingers and now the whole hand. i also have a uti?

Get checked: Sounds like you may have had some kind of insect bite. Spider bites typical do itch and burn.  I would be worried if you notice redness to your fingers or streaks going up your hand/forearm which could be signs of infection.  Also if you are have any burning or discomfort when you urinate you should see your provider to give a urine sample.  You may need to be prescribed antibiotics.

my husband (37) just started taking bystolic (nebivolol) for high bp. he is having heartburn & his right hand is swollen & itchy.  is this a side effect or more?

Never say never: It is unlikely but he should discuss this with the doctor who started him on the drug. He can look for a cause if the drug is not felt to be the culprit.

A primary care doctor can evaluate, and look for kidney and heart problems that can cause swollen limbs, plus some autoimmune disorders, and even some infections. So, there are many things for the doctor to consider.

Hand eczema: Hand eczema is my best guess without seeing it. There is a kind of hand eczema calle dyshidrotic eczema can cause pain, itching, blisters, little white bumps at finger tips and palms and swollen ahnds. You might want to consult a dermatolgist to give you advice.

See a doctor: There are a lot of possible causes, some of which would require treatment for you to be safe.  A doctor could probably quickly determine the cause by seeing and examining your hand, and asking a few more questions.  I recommend you contact a doctor.  I wish you well!

Hand eczema?: try some over the counter cortisone and try soaking with OTC Domeboro soaks 10 min twice a day. Then make an appt to see your dermatologist to determine the cause. I always think allergy or eczema.
