i have a small black spot, just beside my clitoris. it's slightly raised and sensitive to touch. it can also get a little itchy. any ideas what it is?

Must be seen.: It is most likely benign but it need to be seen to make sure it is not a melanoma. If you have had it all your life and it has not changed and is smooth and regular it is probably fine. If it is new, irregular of has different areas of color it might not be. It just needs to be looked at to determine that and the sooner the better.

i started having this uncomfortable feeling down there.it was itchy & caused me discomfort.when i looked at myself i noticed that on my clitoris it had a dry patch & a white spot.it went away.again i have it but just a white lil spot, now with a hair?

Pruritis: This forum doesn't allow diagnosis. In order to make a proper diagnosis/treatment, one needs history, physical exam and some times lab work and/or radiological studies. The best thing for you to do is to see a gynecologist for further examination. Avoid scratching too much in order to avoid secondary infection. Potential lesions include genital warts, psoriasis, lichen sclerosis and so forth.

Shaving or yeast: This could be irritation from shaving or it could be a small area of yeast infection. You could try some over the counter yeast treatment on the area. If this does not work to clear it up i would suggest having your healthcare provider look at it.

Detergent???: Please don't use dishwashing detergent on your delicate parts. Leave it alone. And it should get better.

This might be a : Yeast infection. If you haven't had one before - it is best to have the diagnosis confirmed by your physician. If you wear tight fitting pants - it could also be related to friction.

Gyn exam: Get checked and abstain from any touching, foreplay r intercourse until examinated. Avoid tight clothing or wiping. Abstain if you have been sexually active, .

Itching: You need to have an evaluation to determine why you are itching.  You may have an infection or an allergy.

Try OTC medication: You can try OTC vagisil.  If this is not effective, you should be evaluated.
