Probably unrelated: You may possibly have contracted scabies from the contact but there are also other potential causes unrelated to the sexual contact.   See a doctor if this has been presented for more than 3 days or been getting worse.

Moisturizer: You may just have dry skin which can be helped by applying moisturizer on your skin within 3 mins after bathing and again about 12 hrs later +/- bathing. Avoid antibacterial and scented soap.  If this still does not help, see a dermatologist.

Itching skin: Without rash more than likely from dry skin especially due to weather and using warm/ hot water for washing and baths. Use skin cleansers for baths and apply any moisturizing lotion or cream to affected areas. Take oral histamines if itching really bad. May use otc Hydrocortisone cream or any topical itch cream available if needed. Consult w your physician if you have other signs and symptoms !

Mositurizer: Dry skin can cause itchiness. Try moisturizers. Also change soap to hypoallergenic one.

Accepted Answer

Well: It gets red and itches then goes away, no rash or bumps.  It could be a rash or what is called idiopathic urticaria, release of inflammation due to stress.  Oddlly enough sometimes an h-2 bkocker like tagamet for the the stomach can help.  It may be allergic reaction or something else and i would not avoid seeing a doctor.  I would trey Benadryl (diphenhydramine) at night and tagamet is pretty cheap.  Look up idiop.

Diabetes?: Diabetics have frequent urination if it is not under control. As well, diabetes is associated with dry skin, skin rash, eczema ... I recommend that you see your primary care doctor for some simple bloodwork to exclude this diagnosis. This would be a good place to start the work-up.

Dry skin?: Try unscented soap and application of moisturizer 2x daily with one &lt;3 minutes after bathing to see if this helps. Dry skin is by far the most common cause for itching without any rash.

Eczema: Usually an itch that turns to rash when scratched is eczema or atopic dermatitis.  This is associated with allergies.  Maybe start taking your allergy medications again.

Probably no STD: Syphilis can cause a body-wide rash, but not hive-like and usually not itchy. If you think you're at risk for STDs, get tested. But an STD is not a likely cause of this rash. Most rashes like this are due to drug allergy -- which could include an STD drug if you're on treatment. In that case, contact the doctor treating you. Good luck!

Rash: It sounds more likely that it is an allergic reaction to something.  The fact that it is not on the palms and soles of your feet makes other bad things less likely.  Skin rashes are hard to diagnose and the diagnosis depends on where the rash is, the color, whether there are blotches, raised bumps and many other things.  You can buy benadryl (diphenhydramine) in the pharmacy for itching and if it persists see DR.
