my skin is extremely sensitive and itchy.  it feels like pins and needles with a burning sensation all over my body but especially my legs.  this is the 4th time this has happen.  its to the point that it is unbearable.  what can i do?

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. You may try taking multivitamins along with vitamin B12. If that does not resolve the issue it would be prudent to see a doctor. Wish you good health!

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Take multivitamins, just on case.

sometimes my body suddenly becomes itchy all over for a few minutes. like a pins and needles feeling almost. not rare but not often. is this normal?

Hard to say: Does this occur more than once weekly?  This is not normal for most people.  Although I can't think of any condition which causes transient itching periodically, this may also be the early sign of a neurologic problem. Discuss with your doctor .

doc just raised my synthroid (thyroxine) dosage. 1st day pins and needles, itchy feeling all over. normal side effect? will it subside?

Not side effect: What you are feeling has nothing to do with your synthroid (thyroxine). Synthroid (thyroxine) takes 4-6 weeks to reach a new steady state when you change doses, do nothing happens in one day. Relax.

my left ankle and foot suddenly swelled up for no apparent reason. it isn't hot or anything and doesn't hurt it just feels itchy so like pins and needles. can i wait to see doctor on tuesday at my prenatal appointment?

: I think you should see a doctor prior to next Tuesday. One etiology would be a blood clot and you don’t want to miss that diagnosis. Perhaps you can call your doctor to see if you can be seen sooner or perhaps you can see your GP. You can also go to the ER for diagnosis and treatment. Best of luck to you!

Dematitis? more info: you should see a MD to diagnose as there are many possibilities.Hand dermatitis (aka hand eczema) o/f results from a combination of causes,i.e. genetic makeup, injury (contact with irritants) &amp; allergy.Psoriasis is possible.Primary Erythromelalgia develops spontaneously w/o any underlying disease.Secondary erythromelalgia can develop due to diseases like MS, lupus or DM.So see a dermatologist

suffered from severe sciatica for 2 weeks, extreme leg and foot pain, foot pins and needles, my foot sole still feels like "sleeping" i developed a itchy rash with blisters along my foot where the most pain was, could it be contributed to xtreme pain?

Might be related: Skin pain can be from one of several possible causes. A doctor's exam is needed (primary care doctor or dermatologist). A person with shingles can have burning pain of the skin where the rash breaks out. Sometimes nerve irritation (anywhere along the nerve from the spine to the skin surface) can cause pain sensations in the lower back, thigh, or elsewhere. An in-person or video exam is helpful.

Many possibilities: There can be many causes of generalized it.  The answer could be as simple as dry skin but a wide variety of other causes exists.  They include thyroid abnormalities, liver dysfunction, kidney failure, iron deficiency anemia, and allergies in addition to other causes.  I would recommend seeing your primary doctor for further evaluation.

Need to c ur doctor: meanwhile you can have OTC loratadine or cetirizine to help with the itch, also a shower might help, otherwise you need to be examined, cannot be helped online, good luck

?Headache: It would be helpful to get more information. Consult a physician if it is not getting better with rest, tylenol/ibuprofen ( if not told to avoid these).
