If : If you are feeling itchy and like you are having an allergic reaction, then you most likely are.  It may be from either the coffee or from something the coffee was processed with.  As allergic reactions can get worse over time, be very cautions, and if you have hives, any shortness of breath, or lip or throat swelling then you must be seen immediately.

Unlikely: that claritin would help in this condition, you can try it, but don't exceed recommended dosage, only one tablet of 10 mg You need to see your doctor or a dermatologist, as you may need Rx medications, meanwhile, hydrocortisone cream 1℅ OTC can be applied to the affected areas 2-3 times / day. In the future you want to read the labels carefully and try a small area first, best wishes

Avoidance: Para-phenylenediamine (PPD), perhaps, is the more common agent in dyes that causes contact allergies. Untreated, the reaction persists for weeks and even months if the dye is not removed.  Other products like shampoos can also be sensitizing due to fragrances, plant extracts or excipients added.  PPD is also in photocopy materials, some oils/greases, rubbers, plastics. Patch tests can confirm.

Makes worse: Scratching can exacerbate the rash and make the itching worse in a vicious cycle. Best to treat with topical steroids to help with the itching. Also treat with antifungal shampoos and solutions, other topicals containing keratolytics such as salicylic acid to loosen the scale.
