See Dr.: Unfortunately, rashes are almost impossible to diagnose over the computer.  There are multiple causes of rashes, ranging from various allergies to diseases such as lymes, etc.  The rash could be somehting simple or something associated with an other underlying condition.  See a dr. To get a clinical exam, as the majority of rashes are easy to treat once properly diagnosed.  Goodluck.

Derm eval.: These lesions need to be visualized &amp; a history needs to be obtained in order to make an accurate diagnosis.  Sometimes lab testing or biopsy is necessary.

Hard to say but: Depends on how long you have had it...Did  it occur in past .... Possibly contact  allergy(? New soap detergent makeup etc)  hives can occur for no obvious reason ., try Allegra (fexofenadine) or zyrtec ( read labels) if no better see your dr. Good luck.

Should see doc: Many types of rash present in this way. If completely new, then my initial thoughts would be hives vs fungal infection vs contact allergy. Taking a short acting Benadryl (diphenhydramine) (antihistamine) may improve the itching, which would be indicative of hives.  These would be most likely to persist (come and go) for 3-10 days. If so, then begin a longer acting med like cetirizine. OTC antifungal if scaling rash

Doctor can evaluate: Rashes can be hard to figure out without looking at them. Cold symptoms can be seen with colds, strep throat, flu, allergies, etc... A rash can happen sometimes if a person's body is reacting to the germ causing the cold symptoms (sort of like an allergic reaction). Strep throat bacteria can make a toxin that causes reddish rashes. Over-the-counter antihistamines may decrease rashes and itching.
