EyeThinkYouNeedADoc: Putting that all together, except the itchy scalp, I'd suggest you get yourself checked for inflammation of a small artery on that side (near the temple). That could be signalling a deeper problem that could affect your eyesight (your eye is already hurting, right?). I may be wrong and I hope I am. But get to your doctor tomorrow for an exam and maybe a blood test or two. Better safe than sorry.

Lesion On Scalp: You should not put any cream on it.  You should see your primary care physician for further evaluation and treatment and possible referral to a dermatologist.

Hair dye?: You may have developed a contact allergy to hair dye (if you do dye your hair) or other hair preparations. The onset of reaction is usually from 24 to 72 hrs after exposure. Thus if you dye your hair once every month, the reaction will start in 24-72 hrs and subside a week or two after until the next contact. If you don't dye your hair, then will have to go another route.

Many possibilitites: You may have to see a doctor to get a proper diagnosis. Painful bumps may be infected. Itchy areas in the scalp can be psoriasis.  Vit d oil topically applied to bumps might be helpful if it is pure vit d in medium chain triglyceride.

See doctor: It could be an insect bite that got infected after scratching. It could also be a tropical parasite. Please see your doctor to have it drained / removed. Don't wait. I have removed some impressive specimens from my patients.
