Corpus spongiosum CS: Corpus Spongiosum is a soft spongy tissue encircling the urethra in men. Its function is to keep the urethra open and prevent it from collapsing during erection (which is caused by rush of blood flow into corpus covernosum- which is also encircling urethra in men).

Probably normal: The corpus songiosum surrounds the urethra. You might be seeing where the spongiosum  meets the scrotal skin.

Need to be seen!: Best thing to do is to have it checked by a dermatologist.  If the small bumps are dome shaped with a central dimple, it could be molluscum contagiosum. This is a skin rash caused by a viral infection that can spread by sexual contact. Early lesions on the genitalia may be mistaken for herpes or warts but, unlike herpes, these lesions are painless. Have it checked and diagnosed. Hope this helps.

Corpus spongiosum: surrounds urethra &amp; runs into glans. Each corpus spongiosum, there are two is like a rod which becomes engorged &amp; traps blood during an erection. There are 2 corpora cavernosa (plural of cavernosum). They are  above corpus spongiosum, which is in a groove between them.

my penis is flaccid.  no arousal.  i felt blood flowing sensation slightly on the side of the penis.  why is this? i m sure it was not the urethra.  the blood flowing sensation was maybe on corpus spongiosum.  why it may happen?
