It could be...: Athlete's foot. The best otc medication (in my opinion) is lotrimin (clotrimazole) ultra. Dilute vinegar soaks are good as well.  Dry the inside of your shoes by placing them up-side down over an air return vent at home overnight. If this doesn't make things better in a couple days, see a podiatrist.

Sounds like bed bugs: These are VERY itchy and typically happen as you sleep.  Calamine and or benadryl (diphenhydramine) might help but you need to get rid of the bugs.   Good luck!

Dyshydrotic eczema: The size suggests dyshydrotic eczema. Your physician can have you see a dermatologist.

See doctor: This may be from a spider bite which often gets infected. Need to contact doctor to find out if you may have a different condition or need treatment with an antibiotic.  On rare occasions, the lesion needs be drained and the diseased tissue surgically removed.  Don't wait.

Allergic reaction: Usually rashes on the top of your feet are casued by some type of allergic reaction or contact dermatits. With your lower legs involved i would rule out edema/swelling as an issue as well. Your socks or shoes could be creating the rash on your feet more so if they got wet while wearing them or if you have changed soaps or detergents. If the rash persists or returns get examined by a doctor.

i have pea-sized, extremely itchy bumps that started on the soles of my feet a couple of days ago, and seem to be spreading to my calves. on my feet they seem to be grouped up, but not on my legs. my skin is dry but lotion doesn't seem to help.

Fungus vs contact: You may have a contact allergy or spreading of the athlete's foot fungus.  It is hard to tell for sure based on your description. May try 1%  hydrocortisone cream for a few days to see if this helps. If it is from a contact allergy, avoidance of the allergen is the only way to stop it.  See your doctor if the problem continues.

?: Possible viral rash, or simple acute urticaria, usually also virally induced, self limiting, isn't related to allergies. Any OTC 1st or 2nd generation antihistamine would help control the symptoms, but be careful if it causes sedation, don't drive.. If problem persists , see your doctor
