Not in ; of itself.: Rice (in moderation) can be used as carbs in a healthy diet. Eat healthfully ; be physically active. Aim for 7.5 to 8 hrs of sleep / night. Hydrate w at least 64 oz of water / day. Calories burned must &gt; calories consumed.  Do both cardio ; weight training. You can mix ; match different kinds of physical exercise. 5mo getting started on solids. she doesn't tolerate rice & sometimes likes the yellow vegetables i've introduced but many times pushes out. need help.

Solids: Don't worry, you can try different things when the baby does not seem to like or tolerate.  You can always try that item weeks later.  You can try oatmeal instead for now.  You can try fruit, she may like that better.  Good luck.

Only from food: Blue vomit is not a naturally occurring condition. The only known cause is ingesting a food, drink or medication with blue color or dye. Because blue is a primary color, no combination of other colors will create it. If you did not then there is no other possible cause that is known so this is a complete mystery. Consult with your doctor (but undoubtedly your doctor will be equally mystified).

Irritated stomach: This could be a stomach virus but may be irritation to the lining of her stomach. Would follow her closely. Make sure she is peeing ok.  If the vomit is pine green that is concerning and she should be checked right away.

Maybe normal: Urine is supposed to be yellow, of course.  Pumpkin-yellow urine may indicate jaundice due to liver disease or blood disease.  Vitamin supplements can deepen the yellow color of urine too.
