No, : No, the yeast that causes this condition is "an overgrowth" of a normal yeast that resides on our skin.  Heat, sweating, oily skin, etc are environments that allow it to overgrow.  I hope that helps!

Yes, it's possible.: Tinea versicolor is a fungal infection of the skin. Perspiration and hot humid environments are conducive to the spread of this offending agent. Consequently with skin to skin contact of a newborn in a warm, moist environment it is conceivably "possible" to spread this to a baby. Having said that, in my 30 years of active pediatric office practice I have yet to see a newborn with tinea versicolor.

Wash hands: Ring worm is not that contagious. You were exposed to it before your husband realized that he had ringworm. Wash your hands with soap after you apply the cream.

No it not contagious: Onychomycosis is not contagious like a cold or other infectious diseases.  Fungus loves warm, dark, moist environments so kids shouldn't share socks or shoes.  The nails normally will split, turn white or yellow, and eventually may peel or fall off.  Toenail fungus is difficult to treat with topical meds.  If you have difficulty treating at home, call your doctor.
