Is she an adult: If your daughter is an adult, she has every right to make her own decisions about therapies. You can make your position known, but beyond that there is nothing more you can do except be there for her to support whatever decision she makes.

i took two 50mg unisons by accident how harmful is that. ive been taking tylenol pm before that on a regular and would take two so not thinking i automatically did it?

No harm, no worry: Unisom's active ingredient is diphenhydramine, a mild sedative (and anti-allergic drug). The higher dose is no problem. You might sleep a bit longer, and be careful the next morning driving, operating machinery, etc. Otherwise nothing to worry about.

hi dr, my son put some drops of liquid hand sanitizer on my spoon and i ate with it thinking it was water, realized after that it wasn't water. i'm 2 months and half pregnant, can this be harmful for the fetus?

Doubt it: There is no level of ethyl alcohol exposure known to be totally safe during pregnancy. However, the minute level you note in this instance is unlikely to matter. The fetal alcohol syndrome as first described  was discovered in alcoholic women who usually died from their disease within a year of their kids birth. We caution women about voluntary exposure, but this one I would ignore.

hello, i am a 21 years old girl and i was thinking of having a cat however i heard that it is harmful for the woman's eggs and blood...is this true?

Enjoy your pet: There is a condition called toxoplasmosis that can be acquired by humans who are exposed to the fecal material of infected cats. If this is experienced during pregnancy, the fetus can suffer brain & other organ damage. It is not a risk to your eggs & is rather uncommon. Just having someone else change the kitty litter during a pregnancy will avoid the issue.

i am in a family battle and i feel they want me sick or dead. that is a fact. is it a possibility when they dropped off a breifcase it could have been laced with staph or bacteria or something harmful or am i not thinking right?

: Not likely and not how it works, your family wants the best for you, it has to do with control and power. Would suggest family counseling and relaxing activities for you.

Every : Every medication carries a profile of intended outcome and some side effects.  Dizziness and headache can be a side effect of adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine).  These are usually not too severe.  When prescribing adhd medications, all providers will make follow up appointments to monitor for weight loss, growth and bp.  
I would recommend that you call your primary care provider if these symptoms persist and have your daughter re-evaluated.

i used to use deodorant under breast bc of sweat/odor but i started using petroleum jelly instead thinking it was less harmful. read that vaseline/petroleum jelly is linked to cancer/breast cancer more than deodorant. which should i use??

: Vaseline will not prevent sweating/perspiration. You may wish to consider different material for bra that would wick the moisture away. Googling the term, "moisture wicking bra" will reveal multiple options.

That depends...: Since you "think" you're a hypochondriac, you seem to be open to understanding your "worry" about being sick as something that could be understood in some way other than being "certain" that you are sick.  
Since you don't say anything about why you think you're a hypochondriac or how and what you are thinking about "too much", i'm not sure what else to offer.

That is a symptom of depression.: Merely thinking that one is depressed is itself a symptom of depression. Your doctor can explain to you all the other physical signs and symptoms that go into depression. These include feeling helpless hopeless worthless and guilty, having low motivation concentration and attention span, and inability to enjoy things, insomnia or too much sleep and eating too little or eating too much. Then there is the depressive feeling itself and the suicidal thoughts that often accompany it. You are posing the question anyway in a what- if fashion however it makes me wonder if you may have a component of generalized anxiety disorder in which case i would please request that you talk to your psychiatrist about this.
