? Ligament injury: Knee pain and popping is a common problem and can be caused by a number of factors. Another term commonly used for popping in the knee is crepitus, which essentially means a noisy joint, whether it be popping, cracking or snapping. 
A loud "pop" at the time of injury it usually indicates a ligament injury (acl or mcl). If pain persistes then i would recommend you to see pcp or ortho doc.

i take 40mg proton pump inhibitor every second day and i have currently hurt my back, can i take an anti inflammatory simultaneously with the ppi?

Yes: It is ok to take anti inflammatory medications while on a proton pump inhibitor

is there any anti inflammatory medication that is safe to take with citalopram without causing any potential problems?

Accepted Answer

No: Ssri/snri (anti-depressants) and nsaids all interact with platelets. Aspirin also interacts with platelets and can increase risk of bleeding. Being that your are 25 and if otherwise healthy (normal platelets on a CBC - complete blood count).  You should be able to take citalopram with minimal risk.  If you have easy bruising, black stools other signs bleeding contact your doctor and stop ssri.

cant take rx anti inflammatory meds because of intestinal bleeding.would otc ones be safe or should i not take any at all?

NSAIDs: If you cannot take Rx NSAIDs such as Motrin Naprosyn, (naproxen) etc, you should not take the OTC versions which are the same drug, just in lower doses, i.e. Advil, Motrin IB, etc.  Unless you have an allergy or liver contraindication, stay with acetaminophen (TYLENOL) and limit your total 24 hour dosage to 3,000 mg.

As short as possible: Assuming you have no medical problems, for example congestive heart failure, gastritis, or kidney disease, then they should be safe to take in the short term. Nonetheless with prolonged exposure these medicines might cause problems such as kidney failure or stomach ulcers and can even lead to problems such as hypertension. There's no consensus on how much is too much - stay in close contact w/ md.

Depends...: You should not mix medication with alcohol. So it is safe to take otc meds after the alcohol is out of your system.

i have a painful crick in my neck but am taking zoloft (sertraline).  what type of anti inflammatory is safe to take?

Any NSAID: Any non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug such as Aleve or ibuprofen to name just a few will be compatable with Zoloft (sertraline).

non healing inflammatory tongue lesion(moves 1 cm every few months)for 1 year.also 2 spots on toes that keep getting inflamed every month or so.tongue biopsy said chronic inflamm. infiltrate no malig.and no dysplasia.i see rheumato?or oral surgeon?

PCP: Star with a primary care provider for an initial assessment including some lab tests and that should help the doctor decide which specialist would be appropriate.
