Exercise: Muscle cells are replaced by fat as we age & nerve pathways that aren't being stimulated die out. Make sure that the weakness is not being caused by other conditions, however. It's too easy to say, "you're just getting old." conditions that affect muscles, nerves, and energy can be obstacles. Depends: The symptoms could be due to a variety of causes, including thyroid issues, anemia, hidden cancers, gastrointestinal disorders, sleep disorders, problems with brain, spinal cord, chronic fatigue, muscle disease, etc.  One needs a diagnosis first in order to arrive at an effective therapy.

Get evaluated ASAP: Most likely is an ear infection or vertigo.  But there are serious things that need to be investigated, especially with weakness.  Please be evaluated by a doctor as soon as possible

Probably not: This is not one of the more common side effects of this medication.  However, with the uniqueness of each human, it is possible.  If you are taking this medication and are having these symptoms, consult with your prescribing physician.

Yes.: Many specific drugs can cause weakness and unsteady gait- too many to list here.  Acute and chronic alcohol ingestion may produce unsteady  or ataxic gait.

Cervical Stenosis: I am worried she may have narrowing of the cervical spine aka cervical stenosis. Have her see her physician for neurologic evaluation.

It : It depends in part on how you were before the pacemaker was placed. If all of these signs and symptoms are brand new since having the pacemaker placed then you need to be seen immediately. These are very concerning symptoms if they occurred after an invasive procedure. If these are not dramatically different than how you were before the pacemaker was placed and you were expecting rapid improvement with the implant, recognize that many of the programming changes that help "fit" the pacemaker to you will typically be made during your return visits in the first month after implantation. I would still recommend contacting your cardiologist and discussing your concerns with him/her.

: Guillain-Barre Syndrome can last several weeks usually and does not  "resolve" with i.v. fluids.  A modest drop in sodium as listed would not be expected to cause such severe symptoms, but glad you had a reversal with fluids, suggesting dehydration. Motion sickness?: Could be just motion sickness which will self-resolve but consider seeing an ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) doctor to rule out Barotrauma and other possible conditions if symptoms last longer than 1 week.

Consult her oncologi: Her oncologist needs to know about this new development. Cancer can spread to brain and cause symptoms like the ones you have described. It can also be due to metabolic derangements which can occur due to her cancer. So an urgent visit and further evaluation is advised.
