taking 50 mg zoloft (sertraline) and .5 mg klonopin. we are goin on vacation. is it okay to have an alcoholic drink? like one drink, not getting drunk. thanks

Not a good plan: It is not a good idea to drink alcohol when on medications like zoloft (sertraline) and klonopin.  The sedating properties could be additive, including on vacation.

This is due to: rush of blood to the brain, also DHEA increases after sex too. There is nothing to worry about it is normal for at least 5-10 mins after orgasm.

Delayed toxicity: Drinking alcohol after eating fatty foods may slow alchol absorption and delay toxicity.  You may also have a different metabolic pathway  for alcohol (genetic variation) or indirect mode of toxicity (allergic or hypersensitivity component).       Don't need the extra anxiety?  Don't drink alcohol!

Seek help soon: These don't sound like migraines! They may be but would be atypical esp in a male patient! I'm concerned about other problems that could be more serious !see a physician soon for a more thorough evaluation please

"Too much" Xanax (alprazolam) : Or alprazolam, a benzodiazepine, when ingested can results in sedation, confusion, impaired coordination, reduced respiratory drive, cardiopulmonary collapse, coma, and death. Xanax should be taken exactly as prescribed by ur MD. Additionally, use of Xanax can result in tolerance and addiction as well as rebound anxiety. Discuss your use of Xanax with ur prescribing MD and take only as prescribed.

Alcohol hurts sleep: I notice that you are eighteen years old so i hope your frequency of alcohol use is minimal.  Your brain is still growing and developing!  also, you should be aware that the sleep that alcohol produces is not as restful.  Some think that it is because the slow wave sleep and delta waves that are the most restorative are negatively impacted in the context of alcohol intoxication.

Drunk: It seems as if you have some emotional symptoms that need control. Please have your primary doctor refer you to a Psychologist.No you are not crazy but you are certainly troubled.
