can you drink slim fast with kidney diease?

Yes, but..: Slim fast has horrible ingredients, and I would not feed it to my dog if I had one..From their website, they list Hydrogenated soybean oil, High Fructose Corn syrup,  etc. Soybean oil will make you fat, and so will high fructose corn syrup. I have lots more to say, but 400 words is not enough. Suffice to say, stay away from Slim Fast! Eat whole foods instead.

Depends: In some advanced kidney disease less water may be necessary.  In earlier forms of kidney disease more water may be best.  You should followup with your physician for this question to determine which is right for you.

1-2 grams/kg: Average would be one gram of protein per kg of body weight. Two would be the upper limit of grams per kg of body weight to take as protein if you want to avoid kidney problems. Always keep yourself well hydrated with at least a gallon of water a day to keep the kidney working and help flush out excess protein.

Depends: Now depends on how compromised the kidney is. So best to confer with your doctor. If you have renal failure or severe renal insufficiency then no to metformin
