Treatable condition: Topical, oral, and intralesional corticosteroids can reduce inflammation, itching, and smooth out firm nodules, but I am unaware f a definitive cure for this lesion outside of preliminary investigational studies. An 8AM serum cortisol test can be performed if concerns exist about adrenal suppression due to long-term suppression from steroid exposure

See a dermatologist: Prurigo nodularis is a reaction by skin to violent, frequent, prolonged scratching or rubbing. The scratching is almost universally related to intense itch. Identify, if possible, the cause of itch. Treat the underlying cause if possible. Typically this is treated with super-potent cortisone such as clobetasol or augmented beta methasone. Sometimes cortisone injection is used into each lesion.

"picker's nodules": These are inflamed bumps that are the result of a vicious cycle: they itch or burn and the patient scratches or picks at them and this causes more itching and burning. This goes around and around and the lesions get worse and worse. Rub cortisone cream into them twice a day and strictly keep your hands off at all other times and they will go away. Often, anxiety makes them harder to ignore.

Natural : Prurigo nodularis may be helped by Lactic Acid moisturizer . Generally, a prescription steroid cream or injection is most helpful.

Accepted Answer

No: Neurontin (gabapentin) is good for neuritic pain.  However, it has also been used for seizures.  Topamax (topiramate) is primarily for seizures but is being used for migraine and by some psychiatrists for mood.  This makes things complicated.  Too many of these meds may cause complications.  Both can cause sleepiness and feeling dopey and can cause nausea and depression.

Skin eruptions: Prurigo nodularis not known. Other conditions may induce pn; becker's nevus, linear IgA disease, liver disease and t cells. Condyloma accuminatum is due to hpv infection and can be transmitted to you, if you do not already have it from him. You should have a pelvic exam to look at your cervix and consider getting the hpv vaccine. If there is any question about infidelity get tested for stds.

Enjoy your dinner: Clostridium difficile is acquired by ingesting the spore form of the organism.  These spores form from the bacteria in stool.  If you've been treated and are continent of stool you are not considered contageous.  Even if you are colonized with c. Difficile unless you take antibiotics there is little risk of your getting ill.

Skin flora: Staphylococcus haemolyticus and staph saprophyticus are bacteria that live on the skin. When they're found in the urine in a man, it's usually because of contamination from the skin of the penis during the process of peeing into the cup. It's not an infection, not contagious, and nothing to worry about.

Sty: Usually people are permitted to continue working if they have a sty. Conjunctivitis (pink eye) can be contagious and prevent someone from going to work. I doubt this is COVID 19 related.
