A member asked:

What to do if i have been diagnosed prurigo nodularis. what to do if i have many lesions and i am frustrated. looking for advise.?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See a dermatologist: Prurigo nodularis is a reaction by skin to violent, frequent, prolonged scratching or rubbing. The scratching is almost universally related to intense itch. Identify, if possible, the cause of itch. Treat the underlying cause if possible. Typically this is treated with super-potent cortisone such as clobetasol or augmented beta methasone. Sometimes cortisone injection is used into each lesion.
