should i tell my doctor i smoke marijuana? i'm having varicocele surgery in 10 days and last smoked 15 days ago. i read it can affect the effects of anesthesia. i just started smoking after a 2 yr break and i've smoked about 5 times in the last month?

: It is always good to tell your Dr everything. Especially if they are putting you to sleep.  Should be no medical hangoverat 15 days but still mention it. Here we always ask.

when i smoke marijuana, i notice the veins above my left testicles enlarges. feels like a weird lump. is this a varicocele and why does it get larger when marijuana is consumed? (yes im aware consuming marijuana isnt healthy?

: There is no co- relation between smoking pot and a varicocele enlarging during smoking it. This is a subjective symptom. Best is to get checked by a Urologist. To get rid of the perception you can quit. Best of luck

Depends: This depends on why you are taking it and how you are using it.  There are some benefits for cancer pain,  other medicinal uses.  However, for most of us it is not a good idea.  Yes, it can affect your memory.  Yes it can cause impotency.  Marijuana is not  a component of a "good and healthy life"  whatsoever. Lots of info: You can find lots of info online. Hopefully, you can evaluate the quality of the writing, and references are a good sign of quality. From what I know - it is very helpful for a long list of medical conditions. All types can be. Some types have no 'high' at all - just the other benefits. Texas is not a good place to try it. : The usual restrictions after such surgery no heavy lifting ( over 25 pounds),baths  or sexual activity including masturbation for at least a week.
