i'm over 5 wks after lap hyst. dr said healing great at 4 wk apt.going on trip tom. & 6 wk falls on trip. is sex safe at that point? i feel great!

Yes: If your GYN said healing good and no complications - 6 weeks after surgery should be no problem resume sexual activity. It almost like " 6 weeks postpartum - time after baby " = healing time. If you feel good, no pain, no bleeding. You may consider to use vaginal lubricant if any dryness. Enjoy vacation with your loved one. If any doubt see  your GYN .

Yes : It is ok for a girl  or boy for that matter to keep a laptop on lap for long periods of time although try to increase your physical activity and not be sedentary too much of the time.

Accepted Answer

No goggles: There are swimmers who swim without goggles, but eye irritation is a common compliant due to a mild chemical conjunctivitis from chlorine. It is better to protect your eyes with goggles.

Why are you on predn: We can not  answer you question - after  19 days you have  tapered off technically. You need to ask your physician if you really need the prednisone.

Verify with surgeon : For a simple procedure like this most would say one week but you should verify with your surgeon because he or she will know if there are unique circumstances.

if i got pregnant this weekend can it be aborted during my lap surgery to lasor endometrosis and clear my tubes?or will it be safe and i'll keep baby?

Endometriosis : Since you have Endometriosis , you are not likely going to get pregnant , but to be on the safe side you should use precaution ( use spermicide and have your partner use a condiment ) to insure that you are not going to get pregnant . You certainly do not want to expose the fertilized egg to anesthesia meds .

is it safe to dry humping when you are ovulating? me and my boyfriend were just kissing and hugging tightly it was not exactly a dry hump but i even sat on his lap and as i was ovulating i was really wet from inside idk if his precum touched my pant?

: Presumably you mean safe in regard to conception or STDs. Zero risk for both. However, it seems clear you may be close to giving in to temptation and having real sex. Please plan on it:  have condoms handy and get started on proper contraception. Good luck.

YES: Lap band and gastric bypass surgeries are safer that they even have been. Look for experienced surgeons that share their results. Seek out bariatric centers of excellence facilities as they have been put through rigorous standards, monitor their results and have to meet minimums as far as the numbers of procedures they do. That equals experience. Your surgeon will discuss risks in greater detail.

i have a colectomy it done over 20 yrs ago ant to get lap band surgery would be safe for me had colectomy done for crohn's  disease  and colectomy can i have a lap band surgery even thought i have the colectomy done overr 20 years ago

In : In general, having a colon resection should not interfere with having a band or a sleeve gastrectomy since the surgeon doesn't have to interact with the portion of intestines that were involved in the original colon surgery.  If your colectomy was for crohn's disease, technically the lap band and possibly the realize band are contraindicated (please confirm with your bariatric surgeon).  Any other cause for colectomy including ulcerative colitis shouldn't be an issue in terms of getting the band.

No: No proof yet that lap top in the lap causes cancer, only thing can happen if you take a nap may fall of and break it happened  to me and most of the time warranty will not cover the repair. , !
