Kojic acid: It has been used to treat certain pigmented skin conditions and will cause lightening of the skin.  However, you may be sensitive to  it.   I would purchase the smallest amount you can and try it -  it is safe for use as a cosmetic.    As far as sun -  it may make the skin more sensitive.      Just be careful.

Unstudied products: These two chemicals have not been studied to prove their safety while breastfeeding. It is unlikely that these two are putting your baby at risk but we cannot say with 100% certainty.

I wouldn't: If you use a depigmenting cream (and this stuff isn't a vitamin), you risk disfiguring yourself. It probably won't touch the dark circles. You need to manage your acne like the adult that you now are. You can do it. If topical benzoyl peroxide has not cleared you in two weeks, your physician can give you prescription-strength Rx to add. Be mature and discerning. Best wishes.

General rules: The OTC creams/lotions you apply to the skin do not put medications/chemicals into the blood to any significant degree. Only those that would enter the bloodstream can effect the milk. They are thus not a problem with breast feeding unless applied to surfaces where baby suckles.

Kojic Acid: Kojic acid is used for skin lightening and anti-melasma. Effective for inhibiting melanin production, tyrosinase inhibitor.
Note: kojic acid dipalmitate is stable to ph, light, heat and oxidation, and does not complex with metal ions, which lead to color stability.
Kojic acid dipalmitate is light and heat stable, while kojic acid tends to oxidize over time.

Not typical: Interestingly the logic acid used by aestheticians is typically prepared in a cream base or ointment. There is no typical percentage or concentrations quoted which is unlike retinoids or hydroquinone.
