No, you would not: Be likely to confuse implantation bleeding with your period. Implantation bleeding does not occur the majority of the time  ; when it does the amount of bleeding is tiny.

Bleeding: While at your age it is likely not anything serious, the possibility of a cervical lesion/dysplasia or infection exists.  You need to see your doctor and have a pelvic exam and PAP smear performed ASAP....just to be safe.

Sex/bleeding/depo: Assuming you haven't missed your depo shots - it is unlikely that you are pregnant.   Since you have been on depo for 2 years your menses are probably light to non existent   -   could the bleeding have been from a particularly vigorous episode of sex??   -  unlikely that its anything serious. Spotting with sex: The most common cause of bleeding ("spotting") after sexual relations is irritation of an inflamed cervix.  See your gyn provider for an exam, as this can be easily treated with hot or cold cautery , adding a Pap smear and possible colposcopy if necessary.

Check out http://en.Wikipedia.Org/wiki/anovulatory_cycle for info re anovulatory cycle as cause of irregular menses. Hormonal birth control pills can be used to regulate menses but don't prevent sexually transmitted diseases. You'll need to make your partners wear condoms each &amp; every time to lower infection risk
