Alcohol or diet: There are many causes of an abnormal ast but the most likely is drinking too much alcohol. If the alt were also high then fatty liver caused by overweight would be more likely. There are also rarer additional causes like gallstones, pancreatic disease, viral infection, medication, and immune hepatitis. Best to discuss with your md or a liver specialist.

i take losartan and hydrochlorothiazide and avaine daily. im also taking vitamin c, fish oil, hair/skin/nail, and vitamin d. is there any vitamins i should stop using?

Goals?: Vitamins are no longer recommended as supplements to be taken indefinitely unless clear deficiencies proven or recovering after acute conditions and for short periods. Best to further coordinate would be your GP, who would be aware of details of your medical history.

Ok: It's OK. However better ask and inform your cardiologyst ,so he can monitor your BP and future need for Losartan or similar.

Safer to avoid: Lavender is an herb whose oil has a muscle relaxing effect. It has been studied as a treatment for hair loss in humans, but its safety and efficacy for other conditions are unknown. Lavender oil appears to have female hormone effects and therefore might not be safe for prepubertal children. Lavender oil is also known to be an inflammatory trigger, increasing sun sensitivity and allergic reactions.

Yes...: ...As long as you're not allergic to it. But there is no credible evidence that it is going to do anything beneficial either - although you may attract some bees.

: Those who make this stuff do not have to show it is safe or that it does what it saves it does.   So be cautious. I would go to Drugs.com and see if they have anything on it.

Mgt: It should be safe, but the lavender oil is not needed. Avoid using the toys until dry.

Not recommended: I do not recommend using lavender oil on your 18 mo old. Side effects are rare, but have been reported. There are some baby lotions and bath products with lavender that would be safe and may be helpful. I personally believe the babies are more calmed by the massage with the lotion and the warm bath! i would also look into the cause of his restlessness. Getting enough sleep? Something else going on.

can mixing oils be bad for hair? i made hair oil w/ rosemary, lavendar, vanilla, and vit. e in castor oil. seems to work for me & my friends want to try it bc it smells great but i want to make sure it's safe since i'm not a professional?
