No and yes!: You cannot ovulate twice in the same cycle but you can definitely ovulate late in the cycle.

Yes: The only thing you can count on with regards to your menstrual cycle is that you cannot count on it~!  it is supposed to be 28 days long with ovulation on day 14.  In reality - "normal" is a 2-3 week window around that.  Stress, diet, exercise, hormone levels, and many other things impact cycle length.  We don't have a lot of control unless on the pill then we don't ovulate at all.

Ovulation: Hi, the ovulation time mostly depends on the regularity of the cycle. The length of follicular part of cycle could vary but the 2nd half is constant therefore When cycles are irregular, it is usually because ovulation occurred earlier or later than usual. Ovulation takes place, on average, about two weeks before your period, though it can vary from 10-16 days before the onset of menstruation.

Check it out: Women with absolutely regular cycles are not the usual. A day or two either side is ok..If you have not had a cycle  soon i would check with your doc.

14 days before: Ovulation occurs 14 days before you have your period. You can use your past history of determine the likely days of ovulation. You can also use a home ovulation kit if you are trying to get pregnant. Trying to predict ovulation based on symptoms is not very reliable.

See your doctor: You may have an ovarian cyst that is preventing you from having your menses. You could also not be ovulating.

If your cycles are regular every month and this happened see your doctor.

If your cycles are irregular and different lengths each month then this is likely you not ovulating.

Either way: See your doctor, check an ultrasound.
