Yes: The only thing you can count on with regards to your menstrual cycle is that you cannot count on it~! it is supposed to be 28 days long with ovulation on day 14. In reality - "normal" is a 2-3 week window around that. Stress, diet, exercise, hormone levels, and many other things impact cycle length. We don't have a lot of control unless on the pill then we don't ovulate at all.

Everything's timing: Timing is everything. If your menstrual cycle is longer than 28 to 32 days then you will ovulate "late" at 14 days before the onset of the next period. Thus if your cycle length is 36 days then ovulation will be on day 22.
