Fast is not best.: To lose weight insure that calories burned exceed calories consumed. Drink at least 8  - 8 ounce glasses of water per day.  Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables and 4 servings of fruit per day. Use whole grain when possible. Avoid sodas, alcohol & junk carbohydrates. Get in a good mix of aerobic & weight lifting exercises.

Losing weight: To lose weight, get ur resting metabolism rate done(weight loss centers do this). This determines the total number of calories you need to lose 1-2lbs/week. Decreasing 500cal/day will give you a 1lb wt loss in 1wk; drink water (1/2 your body weight), eat small meals about 150-200cal 2-4x/(depending on your metabolism rate) and 500cal/meal at night: lean protein/veggies; avoid carbs, .

Spot reducing: Body fat is lost by increasing metabolism, and unfortunately you can not spot reduce. Ie you can not do abdominal exercise to loose abdominal fat. The fat is deposited and can be removed by weight loss. General rule, last place fat gained is the first to go and the the first place gained is the last to go.

As long as you avoid processed starch and sugar which is not a part of raw food diet and eat plenty of proteins from plants  you should be able to reach a low weight and significantly improve your health.

Walking off weight: Hours! weight loss needs caloric reduction as well! try starting with 30minutes of walking and  adding a minute every walk to build up to over an hour. If you are already walking over an hour, carry a back back or weights.

They are : A possible cause since they interfere with brain function that has a part to play in obesity but just doing that will not be enough, there are no short cuts to healthy living.
