i have some skin irritation. i think it's allergies but i'm not sure. skin is very dry. what should i do?

Skin care: Skin irritation due to dry skin in winter is common, not necessarily being allergic or atopic. Bathe with cream soap, pat your skin dry, moisturize right away when it is still damp, you will feel the difference, do it with every bath, preferably every night, you can then apply a thin film of OTC hydrocotisone cream 1%  on the really affected areas, except your face, if needed,  good luck

i've got skin irritation on 2-4 fingers. on those fingers the skin is very dry and damaged. could this be an allergy or just pure skin problem?

Irritant?: The absence of itching suggests that this is not from a contact allergy but more likely from contact with irritant   ( organic solvent used especially in an occupational setting) or too frequent hand-washing. See dermatologist.

There : There are 2 "bad reactions" that can happen from food - one is a food allergy, the other is food sensitivity or intolerance.  A food allergy involves immune cells that specifically react to a food causing itching, hives, swelling, trouble breathing and possibly wheezing within minutes to hours of eating the food.  It can be severe or life-threatening and the food must be avoided.  Luckily only 5% of kids have a true food allergy.  If you suspect that your child may have a true food allergy, it is important to discuss this with their doctor right away and consider testing if available.

Food sensitivity or intolerance is a bad reaction to a food.  It can range from cramps and diarrhea to acid reflux or even rash.  The good news is that it is rarely a severe reaction.  The bad news is that it can be very difficult to pinpoint exactly what causes the reaction since testing is not always available.  By keeping track of your child's diet and when the reaction happens can help narrow down the possibilities.  Good luck!

is it possible for seasonal allergies to cause loose stool and skin irritation in a 2 yr old?

No and yes: The loose stools are not a typical response to seasonal allergies. If the 2 year old is producing lots of mucous because of allergies and swallowing it his stool could become loose. The skin reaction may be an associated symptom of allergies. Discuss with your doctor appropriate medication or other treatment for a 2 year old.

Cool compresses: simply just put wet tower, soaked with cool water, over the irritated area(s). It would calm down. Sometimes, Cortisone -10 might help.

Boil: Does it matter what you call it? By definition, boils are infected while cysts are not (although they can become so). Treat symptoms: Any skin irritation can be caused by irritants, bugs or allergies. Try washing the area with water and removing any creams, lotions, makeup, soap residues, etc. Then use an antihistamine such as benadryl, zyrtec or claritin to reduce the local inflammation. Soothing topicals like calamine can also help. if the rash spreads or worsens, see a dr.

After bathing: For best results, apply it after bathing or showering, when your skin is clean and dry. If you notice that your skin is flaky and dry you can apply an emollient rich cream over it.

Tinea. Seborrhea: This could be seborrhea or may be tine versicolor, a mild fungal infection. Both will respond to topical antifungals such as ketoconazole cream. There are other possibilities but itvis not possible to tell from that description.
