But if you're talking about typical cosmetic purposes consistent w/ethnicity etc, i'm afraid surgery is only option.

Nope: The septum is located inside the nose and divides the internal nose into right and left halves, so septoplasty will not change the nasal bones or cartilage that support the skin of the nose externally. Sometimes additional procedures are performed to change the shape of the nose concurrently,  and sometimes additional maneuvers are needed to open the airway that effect the external nose.
