Relatively: In the vast majority of cases of scoliosis, there is not any limitation in lifting heavy objects in and of itself.  Patients with scoliosis can certainly injure their back lifting heavy objects, but not really at a higher rate than people without scoliosis in all but the most severe cases. Kyphosis weight: I thin that gaining weight will actually make it worse. It would put more strain on your spine, not to mention your heart and joints with excess weight.

Isometric exercises: Isometric (push and hold) type exercises are beneficial. To strengthen paraspinous muscles, many patients benefit from rowing, swimming, stationary bike, yoga as well.

i have scoliosis and my neck has been cracking a lot and hurts and ihave headaches every day is that normal? i weigh 135 lb 5'4 is that over weight?

Normal weight: Your bmi is 23.2, which falls perfectly in the normal weight category (18.5 to 25). That is excellent news and should reduce the chances that the scoliosis will cause longer-term problems. "cracking' of the neck is probably nothing to worry about if there is no pain, stiffness or other symptoms. The headaches may be completely unrelated, and could be multiple different things. Best to see an md.

it's 3 years since i got scoliosis and during this time i almost lost half of my weight and hairs and some digestional problems as well.no doctor, but after a month of research i came to know i am not the only man with this.

Need to be seen: Your symptoms are confusing and scoliosis is not usually associated with other issues like weight loss or hair loss unless there is another cause for all of the issues.  Get seen asap.
