Need to see a doctor: If the itching is just from sensitive skin or dry skin, such as eczema, then one can use an over-the-counter cream such as cerave, cetaphil, or eucerin. Adding Hydrocortisone cream for 1 week will help. Taking otc antihistamines such as Claritin (loratadine) or zyrtec helps too. The itching may also be due to an internal disorder, such as liver problems or intestinal parasites, so one should see a doctor.

when meds wear off it itches normal? is this normal? how do i check cause

Allergic reaction: Hives indicate an allergic reaction and the use of an antihistamine with response supports this. Have allergy testing and discuss chronic causes .

so i randomly get this weird rash on the top of my hand out of nowhere. its bumpy and red but the bumps arent that far apart and it only itches for a couple minutes but then the rash goes away in like an hour?

: Is it just one hand or both hands? If not both hands, is it always the same hand? A rash that comes and goes that quickly is usually due to an exposure of some type. So, keep track of what you are doing right before it appears to see if you can figure out what the exposure is and then try to avoid it. If it becomes more frequent, lasts longer or becomes more bothersome, then see a dermatologist!

i was diagnozed with epidermo dermitis localista- i have inflammation rash that itches .prescribed betametazon ointment. will it go away if i apply it?

Yes it should: although you already tried travocort cream the Betamethasone has a good chance at helping.  I would take cool showers and use glycerin soaps instead of real soap.  When you get out of the shower you should apply a good moisturizer to your wet skin prior to toweling dry..then towel dry.  then apply the Betamethasone 2-3 times per day for a week or less.  Antihistamine is a must if itching at night.

An : An itchy rash with raised red bumps can be caused by many, many things such as: 
-food or drug allergy 
-viral infections such as fifths disease, roseola, ebv, CMV just to name a few 
-insect bites such as fleas or scabies 
-bacterial infection such as scarlet fever (caused by strep) 
-medication reaction

or it can be seen in very rare things such as: 
-measles 
-toxic shock syndrome 
-kawasaki disease 
-meningitis 
-stevens-johnson syndrome 
-rocky mountain spotted fever disease

the list goes on and on.

The best thing to do is to call your child's doctor. They may want to take a look to see what it may be. Odds are that if your child does not have a fever or is not acting sick, then it's probably nothing serious.

Derm eval: This rash needs to be visualized &amp; a history needs to be obtained in order to make an accurate diagnosis.  Sometimes lab testing or biopsy is necessary.
