is it normal for infant baby girls to have vaginal discharge? my 14 week 5 day old daughter let out a kinda loud cry and when i changed her diaper there was a little white discharge. is this normal especially with it being painful?

: There can be changes in females due to hormones in birth and hormones from mother.  Just clean things and keep an eye on it. If it keep happening or in anyway is worsening take her to a doctor. Shouldn’t be any fevers at that stage.

Leukorrhea: Is a clear to white vaginal secretion that has no odor and does not cause pain, burning or itching. It increases with ovulation and pregnancy. It contains secretions with dead white cells and debris. It is a normal function. D/c that causes pain, itching or redness should be checked out.

Unlikely: With the onset of puberty we often see a lot of variability in the growth of the inner lips/labia .This is at the entrance to the vagina, Some will remain smallish and tuck inside the labia majora (outside lips) while others can assume the appearance of elephant ears. The only way to know if this is what you are asking about is to have it examined.

Sperm does the work: The typical joining point of egg and sperm is inside the woman's Fallopian tube. The sperm swims in through the womb and enters the tube.If it finds an egg, fertilization can occur with formation of an implantable embryo. If it joins later, in the womb, there is no time to develop a embryo that can attach. A woman's discharge has little or nothing to do with the process.

Normal : Sometimes vaginal discharge before or after your period is hormonally related. Decrease or increase of hormones may change the vaginal environment and ph this giving way to change in vaginal flora.

No - Don't use that: As a general rule, don't self prescribe antibiotics. Also, if they are prescribed to girls for a uro-genital infection, the reduced bad smell is from the absence of infection, not the drug. Just clean with soap ; water or baby oil. Consider diet choices too. Try not to worry if there is no other symptom.
