Probably not: A clumpy (cottage cheese- like), white, non- odorous discharge associated w itching, burning, swelling or redness can be due to yeast infections. If you have a change in color, texture, odor or amount of vaginal discharge ; problems such as pain, itching burning with urination or sex or redness/swelling  then it is best to see your gynecologist for evaluation ; accurate assessment.

Ovulating?: Let's assume you do not have vaginitis, since itch or change in odor usually go along with change in discharge from infection.  It sounds a bit like the clumpy, thick, "egg white" discharge of ovulation.  It is possible to be able to feel a blob of it coming out all at once.

Maybe: Cloudy to transparent mucus may be normal. Seminal fluid also cause it & comes out in less that 24 hrs after sex. If pt feels that amount has increased  and is associated to itching, redness, bad odor, burning or pt is diabetic or on hormones or birth control or takes immunosupprecortisol te, or has cancer ...Chances augment x infections. Rule out yeast, or chlamydia which gives whitish discharge.

Itchies: It may be a yeast infection.  Try over the counter vaginal yeast medication.  If that doesn't work, then you need to see an ob/gyn.

Sounds like BV: This  sounds more like bacterial vaginosis. This is an overgrowth of normal vaginal bacterial and leads to an odor. It is treatable with antibiotics. Schedule a visit for confirmation, testing and treatment.

Vaginal d/c: i am assuming it is a vaginal d/c would go and get checked out in urgent care. may be tirchamonas ( is it ithcy?  or BV ( fishy smell)  or chalmydia or other vaginal overgrowth ( i have sen strep and e coli) for which antibiotics can help. over time untreated infections can result in subtle effects on the tube and uterus.

been using metro gel for 2 days. now i have a white tissue looking discharge. is this normal? when will it go away? it does not itch or smell.

MetroGel vaginal: is topical metronidazole, an antibiotic, and is typically prescribed for bacterial vaginosis. One of the known side effects of using this includes developing vaginal discharge which, in some cases, is candida/yeast. You may have this. I think it is fine to watch for a few days, especially if there is no itching, irritation, odor, other symptoms. If those develop, see your Doc for eval/treatment.

i got my mirana put in january 2014 and i keep having this brownish discharge it doesn't smell i just wanted to know it is normal to have that?

Normal: I instruct my patients that following placement of mirena, (levonorgestrel) they may have light bleeding for up to 3 months. Thereafter, they may have menses, but it is much more likely that they will have only scant discharge (often described as chocolate), or no bleeding at all. Your discharge is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
