Tylenol (acetaminophen): All NSAIDs have some risk of causing cardiac issues. The safest thing is to take a non-Nsaid like acetaminophen Tylenol

Accepted Answer

Usually at night: Most take at night, initally with something light like a couple of crackers, a large glass of water to minimize nausea that is sometimes noted in the first days. It tends to be sedating, hence timing of the dose. Nausea usually goes away after a week or two. Effects on mood can take a few weeks.

can i take dmae 70mgt with an empty stomach? when is the best time to take dmae? i use dmae because i heard it helps with focus, although i only felt some results on my first take, after a few days i dont feel anything anymore?

: The benefits of DMAE is unproven so I do not advocate it. But if you want to take it the average daily dose in study is 300 mg or above per day. In general, supplement should be taken at meal time. You should not take it if you plan to get pregnant or if you have certain medical problem such as epilepsy, bipolar or schizophrenia.

Yes: Celebrex (celecoxib) can cause GI irritation including ulcers and bleeds.

Accepted Answer

Yes and no: This is possible but in therapy you would  be  better with Celebrex (celecoxib). You physicians can evaluate you to see if  you have  the ulcer and it is even less likely you had it for pancreatitis for it  but possible.  Your physicians can have  you see a gastroenterologist to clarify the diagnosis.

used lodine or celebrex (celecoxib) on and off for 3 or 4 years. occasionally had some stomach burning. havent used in 3 months can it still cause an ulcer?

Maybe, but not DUE.: Even people who have never used those meds may get stomach ulcers, so your being off them for a few months doesn't eliminate the possibility.

Possible side effect: Your description of hand swelling and GI symptoms would be consistent with medication side effects or medication interactions given the number of agents you are on.  I would check with your doctor to see if this is a possibility to explain your symptoms.

: In some patients, proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) may be taken just once a day to lower the risk of stomach side effects in patients taking NSAIDs. However, if s/he isn’t already included, it’s going to be good to loop your doctor into the decision to take a PPI. S/He may want you to take a different dose or avoid it entirely because it may affect other medications you’re taking.

It depends: Some medicines actually work best if taken without food. Follow instructions on the packaging and i f you are still not certain, consult your pharmacist or your prescribing doctor.
