is excedrin as good a blood thinner as aspirin?

No: Most Excedrin formulations contain 250 mg aspirin, with Acetaminophen and caffeine.  Aspirin for prevention of cardiovascular events, is usually dosed at 81mg or 325 mg.  The other ingredients are unnecessary and carry their own risks.  Caffeine, in particular, may raise blood pressure. Aspirin has risks also.  Make sure you really need it by discussing the risks and benefits with your doctor.

Excedrin: Excedrin contains Aspirin which can potentiate anticoagulants by inhibiting platelet function. Taking Aspirin with anticoagulants is possible but should not be done without consulting your doctor.

ive taken on average about 2-4 excedrin pills a day for years. (2-4 every 6 hours). how likely are organs damaged? i've had basic blood work and tests done for kidney checkup and no scary results yet

Well: Everyone is different.  So far you are doing OK.  At some point in life the results will not be the same.  There is no crystal ball as to how long you can keep this up.  Speak with your doctor and get bloodwork done regularly (at least once a year) to see any trends that may be happening.

Explanation: No, it not the medications with influence on blood sugar. But if you take it for migraine , you maybe drinking more sweet/ sugary fluids at the same time. Check it, please.

Yes: Pain and nxiety raise BP and increases the heart rate. They are tressors produing a catecholamine response.  Feeling relief may produce the opposite effect and that could lower bp.

if i took 2 excedrin extra strength a day several days in a row before my blood test, will my liver results be out of range? if so, how long before my cbc should i not take it to get normal test results? suffer from migraines so it's a concern?

: The medication would not materially alter the results of blood tests. Please note that all laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests.

are headaches after giving blood normal? what should i do about them? i gave blood on wednesday and have been having extreme migraines every day since. i have tried using a heating pad, taken my migraine medication, and taken excedrin. nothing is getting

Developing : Developing a headache can occur after donating blood.  It is recommended that you hydrate well for 24 to 48 hours after donating blood and avoid strenuous activity for at least five hours.   If you develop  signs of a possible infection (i.e.,  fever, headache or sore throat) within four days of  donating, contact the donor center. This way in case you have an infection, the blood wonâ€™t be used and it wonâ€™t be transmitted to anyone else.

my liver enzymes are high ast is 80 alt is 62 and alkaline psophate is 150,  dr didn't realize i have been taking lots of excedrin for a long time.  so i am to stop taking excedrin and have blood work done in a month.   i am very worried. opinion ple?

Try healing herbs: Excessive/prolonged acetaminophen can cause serious liver damage but our livers also have a great capacity to heal.
I advise a good multivitamin like ONE Multivitamin from Pure Encapsulations and a herbal formula called LIV 52 (check online) proven to help a variety of liver issues. Also NAC protects against acetaminophen toxicity so try 600 mg 2x/day on an empty stomach. Also avoid dietary GMO's.
