Relatively: This anticholinergic is considered relatively safe during lactation when used at regular doses. It was once used in babies with colic but stopped due to a variety of side effects. These have not been seen as an issue if mom uses it during breast feeding.See.Hale t, "medications and mothers milk" 15ed, 2012.

hi. i know that raw cabbage is not recommended for lactating mothers. will fried cabbage (onion, broccoli) affect my baby?

It can: Cabbage is one of the bigger no-no's, raw or cooked, as well as cruciferous veggies (broccoli, brussel sprouts, asparagus), onions, garlic, caffeine, spicy foods, and large amounts of dairy or tomatoes. Not everything affects everybody though, and some are affected by weird things, like almonds or even the gas drops themselves.

Yes: Having said that, it also depends on the dosing and the duration of treatment.  The safety of Flagyl is labeled "conditional" which means depends on the dosing and the patient.  Flagyl is used safely in neonates and infants so a normal dose in breast milk is fine as long as it is not an extreme dose and extreme duration.

Don't worry: Current guidelines recommend 400IU Vit D3 supplementation directly to the baby per day. Other Research shows that high dose maternal vitamin D supplementation (4000-6400 IU/d or a single monthly dosage of 150,000 IU) can enrich breastmilk adequately for infants. Not sure what you mean by 60K (60,000IU?), but even one large dose on one day is not going to hurt your baby.

Haven't heard data: Haven't heard any data on that. Since milk production is a living process, it is reasonable to suspect that the lactose (a combination of glucose & galactose sugars) might increase if mom's blood glucose rises above a certain excessive level, and to suspect that glucose might "leak" into breastmilk if mom's glucose level is over some threshold level. Don't know if any researcher has milk this way.

There : There are absolutely no drawbacks to trying except frustration.  I applaud you for your interest in breastfeeding. As you mention, there are numerous benefits to breastfeeding for both moms and babies.

However, it is difficult to start lactating in this situation, but certainly not impossible. If you really want to try and i encourage you to(the benefits of breastfeeding are many), i would listen to the steps offered by your lacation consultant.  I would suggest among them, getting a breast pump and pumping to try to get the supply started. Depending on the age of the infant, part of the problem may be that the baby is not interested in latching and sucking because they get used to the bottle. The effort needed to suck on
the breast is higher, since the baby won't really get any milk for a number of 
days until your milk supply begins to come in and that is frustrating for
the baby if you pump for a few days, you may get your milk supply up and running and can then have your baby feed more effectively. I applaud you for
 wanting to breastfeed and hope it works, but it will take
patience for both of you. I suggest googling the term "relactation" for more details and ideas, especially if you have breast fed any children of your own in the past. If you haven't before, the concept is the same, you are just beginning just a little further back from the starting line to catch up.

iam lactating mother for 10 months baby.from past 2 months iam experiencing very ligh tpus like discharge coming from one breast only when squeezed from one hole on the nipple.even after using of anitbiotics they are not helpful.what might be problem?

: Mastitis is common with lactation, and can be treated with appropriate antibiotics.  See your OB physician for a wet smear and culture of the discharge, as the current antibiotic may not provide adequate coverage for the causative agent.
