Depends: Close enough to normal so may not mean anything. Why was it done? May be carcinoid syndrome or other endocrinologic tumor. Call him for more direction.

Lots of reasons: Protein can appear and disappear in urine samples. It's much more common than you might think. One of the most common reasons in strenuous exercise the day before or day of the urine sample. Hope this helps!

A sample is also sent to see if germs will grow in the lab. It does not look for the drugs listed, or any other drug, unless specifically ordered by the doc.

Blood test : The single best test for kidney function is a blood test for creatinine. Usually BUN and creatinine are done together. Urine test cannot replace the blood test.

No: There are many liver disorders that would not be detected by an examination of urine alone.

: All laboratory/imaging results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, no doctor is involved, drink enough water daily so that your is mostly colorless.
