Probably not: Cloxacillin is in pregnancy category b. There are no controlled data in human pregnancies; however, there are no literature reports of congenital abnormalities associated with it. Cloxacillin should only be given during pregnancy when need has been clearly established.

Not likely: The FDA states there are no reports of congenital abnormalities when taking Cloxacillin while pregnant. Personally, I would try to avoid taking prolonged antibiotics while pregnant if at all possible. Check with your doctor who prescribed this to you and ask for an alternative to taking an antibiotic based on your condition. Many times superficial skin boils are drained and don't need antibiotics.

Depends: The boils are probably due to a staph infection and if the bug is resistant to clox and diclox drinking a gallon won't help. If the bug is sensitive it would probably do the trick. I haven't used that drug for a long time, but it used to come as a capsule which would work as well as a liquid.

Yes: No problem assuming you are not pregnant and you mean dicloxacillin. Some people have trouble with Advil (ibuprofen) irritating their stomach lining and cannot take it for that reason but most people your age tolerate it well, especially if taken with food. Older people with heart or kidney problems and those with diabetes should not take NSAIDS (nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs) like ibuprofen

Sometimes.: Most meds work best on an empty stomach. Several don't though. Always double check with the pharmacist or the doc that prescribes it about whether or not it should be taken with food.  Fortunately, dicloxacillin can be taken on an empty stomach without problems usually. Take it with 8 oz of water, though.
