: Your post does not ask a clear question. Strep A is not a common test finding in that setting, was it strep B, which is common and places baby at increased risk if present at the time of delivery? You are welcome to start over and clarify the problem and provide a clear question.

Contractions, other: Contractions with cervical change before term define preterm labor. They can be mild or irregular, accompanied by discharge, back pain, etc. If preterm, especially with risk factors (eg, twins, diabetes), it is always appropriate to call OB or go to labor & delivery asap. An evaluation by physician is needed. Sometimes a transfer to a perinatal center is required, and it can take time to mobilize.

Very  much so: Women who experience preterm labor with one pregnancy likely have a combination of factors which make them susceptible to this. If they are pregnant again, their risk for preterm labor again is increased 2 to 3 times!  Risk factors: age, multiple pregnancies, uterine abnormalities, drug (tobacco/alcohol/illicit) use, short interval between pregnancies, poor weight gain during pregnancy.

Probably not but: If you are close to your delivery date, you should concentrate on keeping comfortable and not over-do excercises.  
If you find the you are sore from the kegels than cut back a bit on their intensity.

Yes: In a select group of patients , those with a single  fetus, and prior preterm delivery, have benefitted from taking a specific kind of progesterone.

BV: a study was done in 2000 on the pregnant women with diagnosis of BV, they randomized them into 2 groups, one received treatment for BV and the other group didn't, the outcome was the same in both groups, BV didn't increase the risk of Pre-term labor.

Until u get: The preterm labor stopped, if u are having problems u should be communicating closely with your OB doc.

why isn't terbutaline approved by the fda for preterm labor?

Terbutaline: To approve a drug for a specific indication, the drug must be studied  for that indication. The manufacturer of terbutaline would then present the data from the clinical studies to the fda for approval. The fda would then review the data and make a decision to approve or not to approve the drug for that indication. These steps have not occurred, so the drug is not approved.
