It is manageable: No need to feel hopeless. Wait until all test results are in so an accurate diagnosis can be made and from there the appropriate treatment. You may have an autoimmune or thyroid disorder..both manageable

labs are confusing. + ana, dsdna, and + hlab27. bursitis in both hips & left shoulder. chronic back & joint pain & numbness/tingling but sed rate and crp were normal when last checked? lupus and/or ankylosing spondylitis maybe??

is chronic sinusitis a symptom of lupus?

Sometimes: With lupus, sometimes the immune system does not function properly and one can end up with recurrent sinus infections. There are many more common causes for chronic sinusitis than lupus though, allergies rank first.

No: Rosacea is not a manifestation of lupus. It is simply a skin disease that can be confused with the rash of lupus but is totally unrelated.

was in restroom and the ceiling felt like it was tilted when i looked at it. is this a symptom of vertigo and could lupus cause that?

See eye doctor: Make sure that you don't have retinal detachment . If this is persistent, see your eye doctor- especially if you are very near-sighted.

i'm going for a consult for lasik in 2 days. i was diagnosed with lupus in 1993 and symptom-free and no meds since 1996. can i have lasik?

LASIK: i would leave that up to the operating ophthalmologist.  They will advise you about their experience with lupus patients.  I would get a few opinions.  Make sure urge the surgeon has a wealth of experience in these types of patients.  Ask them specifically how many they have done in lupus.  Good luck.  Feel better!

is temporal arteritis a symptom of lupus? is there any connection?

Rare if possible: Temporal arteries is an inflammatory vasculitis that can obliterate the head blood vessels like the temporal artery (large sized). Systemic lupus can cause vasculitis &amp; more often involves smaller caliber vessels in the kidneys, finger tips and organs. Medium sized arteries are rarely affected, &amp; large vessels are not involved in lupus.
