If you had a : Painful or large hemorrhoid than anal receptive sex may be painful. Friction against a friable hemorrhoid might lead to bleeding.

3weeks: Depending on the size of the internal hemorrhoid treated with rbl it would take from 1 to 3 weeks for the subsequent ulcer created  to completely heal.

It's Safe: Jason - the only procedure I do not advise for my homosexual patients is pph - it leaves a permanent staple line in the rectum that i worry can cause problems with anal receptive sex going forward.

The thd, is safe. In reality, thd is very similar to a banding procedure, however consider it a much larger band in six places.

For both procedures, you should not have sex for a few weeks after.

Not Recommended: If you have internal hemorrhoids, i would recommend against anal intercourse as this can exacerbate the issue whether lubricated or not.  If they are in fact internal hemorrhoids, you can consult a surgeon for banding to improve or resolve the issue.  Meanwhile, to reduce flares, also avoid straining and keep stools soft.

No: Hemorrhoids are the result of abdominal pressure. This occurs with straining, constipation and pregnancy/childbirth. Anal sex may result in trauma and result in other injuries.

Yes and no: Hemorrhoids can be aggravated by anal intercourse, among many other problems associated to the act, including but not limitted to infections, std's, varying degrees of incontinence, bleeding and p[ain. The anus was designed as an exit, not an entrance. Use your best judgement, however i can not condone anal intercourse.

Yes. It will.: Increased pressure in anorectal canal and strain on the supporting connective tissue can make hemorrhoids worse. Also raises risk of fissures and bleed.

Yes: Hemorrhoids are nothing more than varicose veins of the ano-rectal area.  The mechanical forces of penile-anal sex or toys to anal area can contribute to internal and external hemorrhoids.  Bleeding may occur.  Thrombosis (clot) may occur and thus pain.  Make sure you use safe sex practices, use liberal and appropriate lubrication and if concerned see your pcp, ano-rectal specialist or other md.
