i've had excess hair growth since i was a teen - including on my face (female, now in late 20s). someone told me that this could be a sign of cancer?

Very rarely: It would be very uncommon.  It is more commonly a hormone imbalance, perhaps something called pcos (polycystic ovarian syndrome).  See your doctor.

Not necessarily: ..But would probably trigger some sort of work up depending on the circumstances.

No: But it needs to be evaluated. A urologist is the person that can help with this. The risk of prostate cancer goes up after 50 years. There are some men diagnosed in the 40s. Almost no one at 30. Still, it may need  an evaluation.

Lymph nodes: They are normal unless they are obviously very large or matted to surrounding tissues. I used to get them every summer from going barefoot.

R/O LYMPHADENOPATHY : UNLIKELY TO BE CANCER: LYMPHADENOPATHY THAT PERSISTS LONGER THAN 8 WEEKS DEMANDS A FULL EVALUATION. You need an Exam&amp; Labs. CT SCAN OF CHEST ABD &amp; PELVIS. BX OF LYMPH NODE. If the pathology is not diagnostic you need a RADICAL LYMPH DISSECTION TO R/O LYMPHOMA VS METASTATIC PROCESS. SEEK PROMPT EVALUATION FROM YOUR INTERNIST AND A GENERAL SURGEON. Second opinion may be warranted

Lower GI endoscopy: The symptoms may occur with hemorrhoids, anal fissure and anal cancer (or lower GI cancer). It is suggested that he see a gastroenterologist and have a lower GI endoscopy performed.

Hello. : Hello. First off, i want to let you know that i cannot tell you the reason for your nipple soreness.  A common reason for nipple pain is skin abrasion from friction. This can be due to a bra that doesnâ€™t fit well or physical activity with a bra that is not adequately supportive or physical activity (like bouncing) without a bra. It doesn't really sound like this, since you were specific that the pain is deep to the nipple  if this were the cause it should clear up within a couple of days. Other causes can be an abscess, infection of the duct, inflammation of the duct or possibly cancer. If you have redness, heat, swelling, a lump, bloody nipple discharge, fever or chills or the skin is cracking, then you should contact your doctor now.   Take care.

No: Freckles are freckles and are benign, early  skin cancer may appear to be a frickle to an untrained eye, .And a compelling  reason to see your doctor for professional opinion.

Yes.: Yes. It can also be a sign of depression, anxiety, and a host of chronic illnesses. It can also be seen in people who are healthy but just don't get hungry.

The poor appetite of cancer is usually associated with unintentional weight loss.

is losing about 17 pounds in 7-9 months without a lot of exersize a sign of cancer?

Maybe: Weight loss without dieting or exercise can have several causes, but one of them is certainly cancer.  You should see your doctor for a thorough workup to see why you are losing weight without trying to.
