Couple of things: Exposure to sunlight does help.  But you probably need to use and antifungal medication to help, as well as good hygiene.

ive been getting big rashes on my leg and arm. theyre kind of round and kind of clear in the middle. its not fungus because medication did nothing. they start as a bump, itchy and turn into a rash. they last for months and the itch is unbearable?

: This has to be examined and possibly tested(culture etc) before an accurate diagnosis can be made and the treated. Pl see a dermatologist. In the meantime use an antibacterial soap to bathe. Hope you do well.

HIV rash?: I don't know what you mean by HIV rash. There are a variety of skin conditions that can occur with untreated hiv, but there's no such thing as an HIV rash.

You may not: Ringworm is the description of what a common rash caused by fungus is called because it looks like a red ring with scale and more clear center. Without a rash or some type of visible skin change you likely do not have a fungal infection.

If it is: Indeed a fungus then purchase an antifungal cream from the pharmacy. Lamisil, lotrimin, desitin (zinc oxide diaper cream) and many more are available.

May be fungi: Definitely may be a fungus but may also be xerosis (a very fancy name for dry skin). See a dermatologist who can perform a KOH test. You will hardly feel anything and can rule out a fungus almost immediately.

Diagnosis: If you have had for 10 years and you've had it looked at and examined by a doctor, then it may be normal for you.  If it concerns you still then you may need to go to the doctor and be diagnosed or get a 2nd opinion.

i think i have sun fungus. i'm not sure.  but the rash is itchy and i can't sleep at all. what can i do to stop the itch.

Depends: I'm not sure what a sun fungus is. An allergy to the sun can cause an itchy red rash but it usually happens each time after the first time once you have the allergy .  If you can't sleep at night you can take Benadryl (diphenhydramine)  2 at bedtime and it should help the itching and you should sleep.
