Many possibilities.: You don't say how long it's been there, but this time of year it could be as simple as a bug bite. If it hasn't been there long, give it a few days to go away. If it has been present longer than a week, let your doctor or a dermatologist have a look at it.

Depends : Depends on your age. Cardiac causes are the first one to come to mind. Is there a family history of heart disease? Do you have any risk factors? Check with your doctor.

Did you hit it: on something? Tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen should help with the pain but if it doesn't go away in a few days you should get an xray

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining you and your symptoms warrant evaluation by a physician.  It could be a hematoma  and/or even a fracture. If you do not have access to a doctor, go to the emergency room of the nearest hospital, as an x-ray may be required.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine, if you are under 27 years of age.
