Sciatic Nerve : Chronic irritation or compression of the nerves in the back which travel downward  towards the leg to form the sciatic nerve may lead to permanent nerve damage or neuropathy. Most of the symptoms resolve if the cause has been removed, sometime a very difficult task. Surgery, epidural injections and specific medication for treatment for neuropathy can be effective.

Nerve: There are a lot of nerves in the foot and this isn't much to go on.  How do you know it is a nerve that is irritated ?  The very best thing to do is have it evaluated by your podiatrist who will distinguish this from a tendon or other structure.   Good luck.

Heat pad: Can be used where you hurt (buttock or thigh) or maybe even the back. Sometimes massage with a dixie-cup with ice (tear of a little rim at a time while it melts...) might be good too to interchange with the heat.

Yes: The Occipital nerve runs up the back of your neck and can in fact be irritated by a disc problem in your neck!

MoreComplicatedIssue: First, if you have to sleep on the floor try and get some form of firm cushioning even if it's only putting a few towels or blankets down.That would be better than sleeping on a too-soft mattress.Second, that's not usually the cause of "sciatica,"if that's actually what you have (there are a lot of mimics).What do you do with the 'x' number of hours that you're awake?Sit all day? Lift stuff?

The vagus nerve is tied to our emotions. Vagas nerve stimulation is a way to treat depression.  Chronic hiccuping can be caused by irritation of the diaphragm or gallbladder disease.

Possible Allergy: Please go to the doc and get checked for allergy.  There are food allergies and chemical allergies.  Something may even be in your make up or shampoo if you use it.  Once that is determined you can avoid the source.  Hope this helps.
